A career dedicated to women's health: "I began my healthcare career as a nurse in 2016, working in the emergency room for six years before becoming a nurse practitioner in 2021. In 2022, I joined Planned Parenthood, where I gained extensive experience working in women’s health, gender-affirming care, STI screening, and preventive care. My time there deepened my commitment to supporting women throughout every stage of life and opened my eyes to the growing need for knowledgeable, accessible perimenopause and menopause care."
Making patients feel heard: "Some of the most meaningful moments in my career have come from caring for patients who felt dismissed or unheard elsewhere. I’ve met women who were told their symptoms were insignificant or made to feel like they were imagining what they were experiencing. Helping patients feel listened to, understood, and supported during vulnerable moments reminds me why I became a nurse practitioner."
Partners in care: "My goal is for every patient to leave a visit feeling heard, cared for, and actively involved in decisions about their health. I believe the best care happens when patients feel empowered to ask questions, share concerns openly, and participate in creating a plan that works for their lives."
Helping women reclaim their health: "What excites me most about menopause care is gaining the knowledge to help women navigate this transition with confidence and reclaim their health, well-being, and quality of life."
