
Tula Karras has been writing about women’s health and wellness for over 25 years. She’s held staff positions at SELF (Deputy Nutrition Director), Seventeen (Health Editor), Good Housekeeping (Articles Editor) and WebMD (Senior Editor). Her work has appeared in Real Simple, National Geographic, Shape, Prevention, HealthCentral.com, EverydayHealth.com, and Yoga Journal. Her feature “I’m a Derm and I Got Skin Cancer” in Cosmopolitan won a Skin Cancer Foundation Award, and her special report “The Disorder Next Door” in SELF garnered a Front Page Award and Clarion Award. She lives in Austin, TX, where she has become an expert in food-truck tacos and (somewhat related) clocks as much time as possible on Lady Bird Lake’s hike-and-bike trail.
