Listening as a starting point: "I began my healthcare career in 2013 after attending the University of North Carolina, and went on to complete my Master in Nursing at the University of Colorado. For the past four years, I’ve worked in primary care, where I’ve had extensive experience caring for women across all stages of adulthood."
Seeing a pattern: "While working in primary care, I noticed a common and concerning theme: many women going through perimenopause and menopause felt their symptoms were brushed aside or minimized. They knew something was changing in their bodies, yet often felt unheard. That gap in care stayed with me and ultimately led me to Midi, where the focus is on truly understanding midlife changes and helping clinicians offer meaningful solutions."
Being heard changes everything: "Some of the most meaningful moments in my career have been when patients expressed deep gratitude simply because I took the time to listen and offered options instead of dismissal. Those interactions remind me why this work matters. Feeling seen and validated can be just as powerful as any treatment."
Care as a partnership: "I want patients to leave feeling heard, understood, and empowered. I believe real change happens when we work together and create a plan that feels achievable and supportive."
Personalized paths forward: "I start every visit by letting patients tell their story. We talk about their overall health, the symptoms affecting them most, what they’ve already tried, and how these changes are impacting their daily lives. From there, we build personalized treatment options that align with their needs, goals, and lived experience."
