A lifelong commitment to women’s health: "I began my healthcare career in 1997 and focused on women’s health beginning in 2001. I started my career in critical care, where I learned what it meant to support people and their families through some of their hardest moments. Over time, my passion for women’s health grew. I’ve seen firsthand how often women aren’t fully heard, so I’ve devoted my career to caring for them with empathy and thoroughness. I’ve worked in obstetrics, gynecology, urogynecology, and cared for women from menarche through menopause. Most recently, as an Adult/Gerontology provider, I supported older adults, another group that often struggles to feel seen in the healthcare system."
Listening that leads to answers: "One patient with chronic pelvic pain sticks with me to this day. She had been told her pain didn’t have a medical explanation, and she felt defeated. When she came to our urogynecology clinic, I listened closely, reviewed her symptoms in detail, and performed a thorough exam. I suspected interstitial cystitis, an underdiagnosed condition, and after a cystoscopy confirmed it, we began a plan that included medication, physical therapy, and dietary changes. Within three months, her pain had improved dramatically. Her relief and gratitude reminded me why listening to and believing women matters."
Empowering women in midlife: "I joined Midi because so many women navigating menopause are still told to ‘just deal with it.’ Midi is helping close that gap with compassionate, evidence-based care. What lights me up is empowering women with knowledge and tools to feel their best because midlife isn’t an ending, it’s an evolution, and women deserve to have their experiences validated."
