A path into women’s health: "My career began with a BS in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, followed by nursing school, where I graduated in 2015. I spent time in labor and delivery before focusing on midlife care at Magee Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. There, I trained under some of the best physicians in the Midlife Center. I also cared for women with PCOS, fibroids, pelvic pain, endometriosis, and vulvovaginal disorders in the Gyne Specialities department."

Why midlife matters: "When I was first hired in the Midlife Center, I quickly realized how dismissed peri- and menopausal women are in our healthcare system. I often heard the same sentiment: 'I just don’t feel like myself.' I knew I wanted to be the kind of provider who listens, validates, and uses evidence-based, patient-centered care to help women feel like themselves again. To me, midlife care is not just about symptom relief, it’s about honoring women’s quality of life and health in the decades beyond their reproductive years."

Stories that stay with me: "One patient in particular shared that she and her husband hadn’t been intimate in 13 years. After creating a plan together, within three months she was experiencing pain-free intimacy again and told me I had “saved her marriage.” Others tell me they’re back to gardening, training for races, or enjoying evenings again without exhaustion. Helping women reclaim joy in their daily lives is why I do this work."
