Finding my way to midlife care: "I’ve been in the medical field since 2009, starting as a medical assistant before becoming a registered nurse in 2012 and a nurse practitioner in 2021. I spent years in a community healthcare setting, caring for a wide range of patients, but I found myself increasingly drawn to women’s health, especially midlife care, perimenopause, and menopause. Along the way, I also built experience in obesity medicine and nutrition, becoming a nutritional coach so I could better support the whole picture of a woman’s health."

A turning point: "Early on, I kept seeing women struggling with symptoms like hot flashes, anxiety, and brain fog, and I didn’t feel equipped to truly help them. I saw firsthand how little guidance we’re given as medical providers on treating menopause, so I took the initiative to find the training myself and begin helping my patients, which changed everything. One of my first patients came in in tears, overwhelmed and scared. Six weeks after starting treatment, she walked back in feeling like herself again and told me I had changed her life. This moment made me realize how important it is to take initiative in educating myself on these issues and to be a part of the change our patients truly need."

Care that starts with listening: "My approach always begins with listening. Not every symptom needs treatment, but every concern deserves to be heard. I focus on what’s actually disrupting a woman’s quality of life and work from there, using a shared decision-making approach so she feels informed, supported, and in control."

Empowering women through knowledge: "I’m inspired by the chance to help women feel like themselves again during a time when they’re often overlooked. With the right tools, education, and treatment options, this stage of life doesn’t have to be something women just endure—it can be something we navigate together with clarity and confidence."
