Finding my way to women’s health : "My journey in healthcare began in 2011 when I became a nurse, and stepped into an advanced practice role in 2016. My career has taken me through many different settings, including caring for veterans, working in a sleep clinic, primary care, home care, and even a brief role with the CDC during the COVID pandemic. In 2022, I began working in women’s health, which quickly became my true passion. I kept hearing the same concerns from midlife women—hot flashes, brain fog, fatigue, mood changes, and that feeling of not quite being themselves. It became clear that many traditional care settings weren’t fully addressing these needs, and that realization is what drew me to Midi."
A moment that stuck with me: " One patient came in with severe itching that had taken over her life. She had tried so many treatments without relief and even had scratch marks on her skin from how uncomfortable she was. When we finally started hormone therapy, everything changed. Seeing her relief and gratitude reminded me how powerful the right treatment, and being heard, can be."
Listening first: "My approach starts with listening carefully to a woman’s full story. Midlife symptoms are real and often interconnected, and I want patients to feel comfortable sharing everything they’re experiencing. From there, we build a plan together, which may include hormone therapy and other practical steps to help them feel like themselves again. I believe that most people can feel better with the right support and a balanced approach to their health."
