Book a Visit with Me

A path rooted in women’s health: "I first became a nurse in 2006, building a strong foundation in patient-centered care from the very start. Over the past 20 years, I’ve cared for women across the lifespan, with experience in obstetrics, primary care, breast health, menopause management, and sexual health. I later earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Minnesota with dual preparation in Women’s Health and Adult Health, deepening my commitment to thoughtful, evidence-based care."

Listening changes outcomes: "One experience that deeply shaped how I practice was caring for a woman with severe vaginal pain after being misdiagnosed multiple times. She was frustrated and worried, having received treatments that never helped. I took the time to walk through a thorough evaluation, explaining each step and making sure she felt heard. That visit led to a diagnosis of vulvar cancer—something that had been missed because no one had performed a pelvic exam, despite her asking. She was quickly connected to oncology, but her cancer had already spread. That experience reinforced for me how critical it is to truly listen, slow down, and never skip the basics."

Driven by access and equity: "What keeps me coming back to this work is seeing how hard it can be for women to get the care and answers they need. Too often, women aren’t given clear information about what’s happening in their bodies—or access to clinicians who can provide thorough, thoughtful evaluations. As a woman from the African American community, I’ve also seen how these gaps are even wider for people of color. Those disparities continue to motivate me to do this work and to help ensure every woman feels seen, informed, and supported."
