Decades of women’s health experience: "Since 2014, I’ve cared for women in rural Tennessee and Kentucky as well as in urban communities like Baltimore, with a focus on immigrant and low-income populations. My work has spanned general gynecology, clinical research, and since 2018, urogynecology. At Johns Hopkins Bayview, I helped establish the Recurrent UTI clinic, and I’ve also been deeply involved in sexual health education for Baltimore’s non-monogamous and kink communities."
Noticing the overlooked: "In urogynecology, I often saw perimenopausal and menopausal women whose symptoms were dismissed or overshadowed by other health concerns. Time and again, I heard the phrase, ‘No one ever explained that to me.’ When I began experiencing perimenopause myself, I realized just how confusing and isolating it could feel—even for someone working in the field. That’s when I knew I wanted to focus on midlife care and help women reclaim the activities and joy that symptoms had taken from them."
A philosophy of compassion and curiosity: "My patients can expect me to listen with empathy and without judgment. If I don’t have the answer, I’ll find it. My goal is for every woman I care for to walk away feeling heard, validated, and empowered."
