A career in women’s health: "I became a registered nurse in 2011 and an advanced practice registered nurse in 2015, and I’ve worked in women’s services throughout my entire career. I joined Midi because women deserve thoughtful, compassionate care during a chapter of life that has been overlooked for too long."
Helping women feel like themselves again: "One patient I worked closely with throughout her perimenopause journey came to me after years of feeling dismissed and unlike herself. She was losing hair, had no drive, and felt run down and exhausted. After we checked her labs, started hormone therapy, and worked together to address her symptoms, she slowly began to feel her energy, joy, and drive return. I love that through our work together, she was able to take ownership for her health again."
A chance to exhale: "I start by acknowledging a woman’s concerns and helping her understand what may be happening in her body. Perimenopause can last four to more than 10 years before the final menstrual period, and fluctuating hormones can play a significant role. I also like to check a full lab panel to look for other possible underlying conditions. When a woman leaves a visit with me, I want her to be able to exhale, to feel heard and like some weight has been lifted from her shoulders."
One step forward: "No one is too far gone. There is always something we can do to help, even if it’s just one step at a time in the right direction."
