Following where women need care most: "I started my nursing career in 2007, spending years in labor and delivery where I discovered a deep passion for caring for women. During COVID, I returned to school to become a Nurse Practitioner and transitioned into primary care. It didn’t take long to notice a pattern—patients, especially women, were struggling to find meaningful support for weight and midlife symptoms. I built a weight management program in my clinic, and soon found myself drawn to the overlap with perimenopause and menopause care. That’s what ultimately led me to Midi."
Changing the conversation: "I’ll never forget a woman in her mid-40s who came in expecting to be told, again, that she just needed to diet and exercise. She was bracing herself for it. Instead, we slowed down and talked through her full story and what might actually help. When she realized I wasn’t going to dismiss her, her whole demeanor changed—she got emotional, and honestly, so did I. It was a reminder that being heard can be just as powerful as any treatment we offer."
Care that feels personal: "Care should feel as unique as the person receiving it. I take time to understand each patient’s symptoms, priorities, and lived experience so we can build a plan that truly fits their life."
Helping women feel in control again: "What inspires me most about Midi is being part of a community that truly sees midlife women and is committed to helping them feel better. I want every patient to leave feeling heard, supported, and no longer alone, like they finally have a plan that works for them."
