Focused on midlife health : "I’ve been working in healthcare since 2011 and became a nurse practitioner focused on women’s health in 2016. My background spans public health, homeless services, LGBTQ services, HIV care, fertility care, and women’s health clinics, which has given me experience supporting patients through many different stages of life and health challenges. Today, my focus is on helping women navigate perimenopause, menopause, and weight management with practical, individualized care. I’ve worked extensively with concerns such as abnormal bleeding, contraception, fertility, hormone changes, and the physical and emotional shifts that can happen in midlife. What I enjoy most about this work is helping patients better understand their bodies, feel supported in their decisions, and find realistic solutions that improve how they feel day to day."
Making medicine understandable : "What I enjoy most is sitting down with patients, answering questions honestly, and helping things click into place. I don’t believe medicine should feel mysterious or out of reach. I like breaking down complex ideas into something understandable, so patients leave with a real sense of what’s happening in their bodies and why we’re recommending a treatment or next step. Those moments where a conversation really finds its rhythm, where patients feel engaged, informed, and heard, are what keep me passionate about this work."
Shared decision-making : "My approach is very patient-centered. I want visits to feel collaborative, not prescriptive. I always give my recommendations, but I’m most interested in understanding a patient’s goals and what they want for themselves. At the end of a visit, I want patients to feel proactive, validated, and clear about what comes next — and most importantly, to feel better than when they arrived."
