Finding my calling: "I became a registered nurse in 1995 and a women's health nurse practitioner in 1996 after graduating from Vanderbilt University. I began my career in infertility care before spending 26 years in an OB/GYN practice, caring for women through every stage of life. If there was one area that always felt underserved, it was perimenopause and menopause. I wanted to better myself as a clinician and provide a higher level of care for women during this important transition, which is what led me to Midi."
A turning point: "I was practicing when the Women's Health Initiative study was released, and I watched women abruptly stop hormone therapy almost overnight. It was heartbreaking to see how quickly their quality of life changed and how few options they believed they had. When I learned about Midi's philosophy of discussing the risks, benefits, and all of the available treatment options, it immediately resonated with me not only as a clinician, but as a woman who had been through menopause myself."
Helping women thrive: "Since beginning at Midi in 2023, it has been incredibly rewarding to help women find relief and feel empowered to make well-informed decisions about their health. Whether we're talking about hormone therapy, non-hormonal medications, or other treatment options, my goal is to meet each woman where she is."
Every woman deserves to be heard: "I want every patient to leave our visit feeling valued, understood, and truly listened to. When women have the knowledge and support they need, they can choose the path that's right for them, and that's the kind of care I'm proud to provide."
