Experience looking at the whole picture: "I began my healthcare career in 2009, initially working in the hospital setting before transitioning to working with women in midlife, helping them navigate the many shifts that occur around perimenopause and beyond. I see symptom relief and treatment planning as layered, addressing hormonal shifts in the context of lifestyle, emotional health, sleep, movement, nutrition and mindset."
Why midlife women’s health: "What drew me to this work was watching women I cared for, who often put everyone else first, struggle with symptoms that felt invisible, isolating, or dismissed. I realized there was a powerful opportunity to partner with women in this important life stage, to validate what they’re feeling and help them regain energy, focus, and wellness."
Making it a priority to never have patients settle: "I vividly remember a 48‑year‑old woman who came to me feeling exhausted, ‘foggy,’ and disconnected from her usual self. For months she had been told everything was normal for her age. Together we dug in, looked at her full history, symptoms, labs, lifestyle and stressors. As a team, we crafted a plan that addressed not just hormone changes, but sleep, nutrition, movement and mental wellbeing. Six months later she told me she felt like herself again, more present with her kids, more engaged at work and sleeping deeply for the first time in years. That moment reinforced for me how holistic care during midlife can make life feel better, not just ‘less bad.’"
