Finding joy in women’s health: "I’ve been caring for women since I became a nurse in 2015. My path into women’s health started during my labor & delivery rotation in nursing school. So much of hospital medicine centers around illness, accidents, or difficult outcomes. In labor & delivery, I had the privilege of being part of one of the most joyful moments in a woman’s life. That experience stayed with me and ultimately shaped my career."
Growing alongside my patients: "I began my nursing career at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, caring for high-risk pregnancies and working alongside one of the nation’s leading fetal care teams. After becoming a nurse practitioner in 2020, I spent time in family medicine before returning to my true passion: women’s health. At UTMB’s Regional Women’s Services and Pediatrics clinic, I cared for women from a wide range of backgrounds and saw firsthand how important education and access to care can be."
Listening first: "What drew me to Midi was the opportunity to deepen my knowledge in an area of women’s health that has long been overlooked. Perimenopause and menopause affect millions of women, yet many have struggled to find providers who understand what they’re experiencing. I believe my role is to act as an educator and guide while empowering patients to make informed decisions about their own health."
Making a difference: "One patient’s reaction when I told her I was leaving my previous practice stays with me to this day. She cried not only when I first shared the news, but at every visit leading up to my departure. Her gratitude reminded me that being heard, understood, and supported can have a lasting impact. I want every patient to feel that they have a partner in their care—someone who takes the time to listen, understand their concerns, and help them find answers."
