Listening beyond the symptoms: "I became a nurse in 2016 and a nurse practitioner in 2019. Most of my experience has been in primary care, where I’ve cared for patients with chronic and complex medical concerns, along with women’s health and urgent care experience. What led me to Midi was the focus on individualized care for women in perimenopause and menopause. Women’s health is often overlooked or minimized, and I value being part of a healthcare system that is truly focused on supporting women through this stage of life."
Seeing the bigger picture: "One patient experience that stayed with me involved a 48-year-old woman who had been treated multiple times for recurrent UTIs after seeing several providers virtually. When she came to me, I took a broader approach and completed a comprehensive assessment. Her symptoms of urinary urgency and frequency were actually connected to perimenopause. Once we started hormone therapy, her symptoms improved. That experience reinforced how important it is to listen deeply and look beyond the obvious answer."
Care that feels personal: "As a woman and a mother of three boys, I understand how easy it can be for women to put themselves last. I want my patients to feel heard, reassured, and supported. My goal is for every patient to leave feeling like we are working together as a team to find solutions that truly fit their life and health journey."
