Bridging medicine and movement: "I started in healthcare in 2009, gaining experience in medical oncology, post-op bariatric and general surgery, and outpatient family and gynecological care. Before earning my masters in nursing, I built a foundation in health and wellness with a degree in exercise science, a master’s in exercise physiology, and years as a personal trainer and group exercise instructor."
Finding focus in midlife care: "As I entered midlife myself, I began noticing changes I couldn’t quite explain. When I realized what was really happening, I was surprised by how little I—and many other clinicians—had been taught about this stage of life. That realization inspired me to dive deeper into midlife women’s health, so I could better educate myself and empower others going through similar transitions."
Conversation as care: "Many of my patients tell me no one has ever taken the time to explain their health the way I do. I make it a priority to inform, educate, and create space for questions so patients leave feeling confident, understood, and equipped to take control of their well-being."
Prioritizing autonomy: "There’s always more than one way to achieve a goal. My role is to help patients understand their options so they can make the choices that feel right for them."
