My journey to women’s health: "I began my nursing career in 2017 in the emergency department in Albany, New York, I then transitioned to the PACU while completing my nurse practitioner education, completing it in 2022. I went on to work in women’s health at a rural hospital, then family practice after moving to Michigan, before joining Midi."
Filling a gap in care: "Throughout my work in women’s health, I saw a huge gap between reproductive care and postmenopausal care. Women often lacked the access and understanding they needed to make informed decisions about menopause. I joined Midi because I’m passionate about closing that gap and giving women the care they deserve."
Listening can change a life: "Early in my career as a nurse practitioner, I cared for a woman in her 30s who had struggled with severe perimenopause symptoms for years without answers or treatment. I listened, researched, and advocated for her care. She later told me that treatment changed her life and ultimately saved it. That experience reinforced how powerful it can be when a woman feels truly heard."
Truth matters: "I believe great care starts with trust and active listening. I meet women where they are, provide tailored care, and keep compassion at the center of medicine. Education is also key, especially separating the truth from the myths that have made so many women afraid of menopause treatment. Once we get past those barriers, we can create a plan that can truly change a woman’s life."
