Care as partnership: "My healthcare journey has included work in late-stage dementia care, the operating room, and intensive care, experiences that shaped my clinical skills and perspective. In 2016, I became a labor and delivery and postpartum nurse, where my passion for women’s health began. In 2022, I completed further education and went on to work in a federally qualified health center’s women’s clinic, caring for a diverse patient population with needs ranging from contraception and prenatal and postpartum care to gynecologic, procedural, and perimenopausal and menopausal care."

Learning from my patients: "Early in my career, I cared for a woman who came in with a detailed list of symptoms and a deep sense that hormonal changes were behind them. She had tried everything she’d been offered without relief, and at the time, I didn’t yet have the training to safely offer hormone therapy. That experience stayed with me. Later, after completing additional menopause education, I met a patient experiencing perimenopausal symptoms at a younger age than many expect. I was able to confirm what she was experiencing was consistent with perimenopause, and that moment reshaped how I approach care."

What I want for my patients: "My approach balances safe, evidence-based care with the real-life experiences of my patients. I lead with empathy, compassion, and active listening, helping patients tell their stories even when the words are hard to find. I believe in offering options, honoring patient choice, and continuing the journey together as needs change over time."
