Rooted in women’s health: "I began my nursing career in 1999, earned my Master’s in Nursing Education in 2005, became a Nurse Practitioner in 2009, and completed my Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2014. For the past 17 years, I’ve worked in primary care and women’s health in Jacksonville, Florida, while also serving as a nursing educator. Throughout my career, I’ve seen how often women’s midlife concerns are overlooked, and how deeply that can impact their sense of self."

Seen and heard: "One patient I’ll never forget came to me during perimenopause feeling like she was unraveling emotionally, physically, and in her relationships. She had been told she was experiencing a midlife crisis and depression, and she began to believe it. When we talked, I helped her understand that her symptoms could be hormonal. Simply being heard, validated, and treated helped her reconnect with herself. Watching her regain confidence and joy reminded me how powerful this work is."

Hormones matter: "I believe a woman’s hormonal well-being is foundational to her vitality and longevity. At Midi, I’m inspired by the opportunity to truly focus on what women in perimenopause and menopause need to maintain vibrant, full lives."

Care as a partnership: "I start with the symptoms that matter most and build from there. When I understand a patient’s goals, we can move forward as a team, creating a plan that supports both her body and her life."
