More than “mom brain": "I started my nursing career in 2013 as an emergency room nurse, where I learned how important it is to truly listen and stay connected to patients during difficult moments. Over the years, I stepped into leadership roles as a charge nurse and clinical supervisor, taught new nurses and employees, and helped educate families in the community. I became a nurse practitioner in 2020 during the height of COVID, an experience that strengthened my passion for compassionate, patient-centered care. Patients often describe me as personable, passionate, and collaborative because I believe the best outcomes happen when we build a plan together."
Changing the conversation around hormones: "My experience in hormone care opened my eyes to how deeply hormones affect quality of life. I joined Midi because I wanted to help normalize conversations around perimenopause, postpartum changes, and hormone therapy. I’m passionate about functional medicine and understanding the root cause of symptoms instead of dismissing women’s concerns as “just stress” or “just getting older.” It’s time to shift from reactive healthcare to proactive healthcare — helping women understand what’s happening in their bodies before symptoms begin affecting every part of their lives."
Helping women feel like themselves again: "One experience that shaped my approach was caring for a mother who was two years postpartum and still struggling with brain fog, anxiety, low energy, and poor sleep. Many people dismissed it as “mom brain,” but I knew there was more to the story. Women’s bodies go through enormous hormonal shifts during pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause — especially as more women are having children later in life. After starting hormone therapy, she began sleeping better, feeling calmer, and finally feeling like herself again. Moments like that remind me why this work matters so much. I want every patient to feel heard, supported, and empowered to take control of their health."
