Curiosity, from the very beginning: "I’ve been collecting birth stories since I was eight years old. No one was off limits. I’d quietly listen while my mom hosted her YWCA bridge group, soaking in conversations about childbirth, women’s bodies, and everything in between. I didn’t have the language for it yet, but I knew I was drawn to this work, deeply and instinctively."
A lifelong path to women’s care: "I’ve been in healthcare since the mid-1980s, working as a nurse-midwife and nurse practitioner with extensive experience in women’s primary care. My path wasn’t linear, I started out in a newsroom before finding my way back to medicine, but that early curiosity never left me. These days, I bring a functional medicine lens to my work, always asking why symptoms are happening, not just how to quiet them."
Still asking better questions: "I’ve seen firsthand how often women’s symptoms, especially in midlife, are brushed aside or oversimplified. That’s what drew me to Midi. I wasn’t looking for a soapbox, but I was looking for a place that takes women seriously, asks better questions, and actually listens to the answers."
Care that meets women where they are: "Telehealth may be ‘no-touch,’ but the connection is just as real. I care for women as they learn to care for themselves through yet another phase of change (because there’s always another one). My approach is to listen closely, think deeply, and connect the dots, so each woman feels understood, supported, and ready to navigate her body with confidence."
