A path that evolved: "I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1993 and have worked in various nursing departments from med-surg to IV therapy until I found my rhythm in women’s health, including eight years in labor and delivery and postpartum. I received my Master’s of Science in Nursing with a focus in family care in 2015. What began as a desire to teach became something even more meaningful — direct, lasting impact in women’s lives."
Opening doors that felt closed: "In urogynecology, I cared for many women who felt confined by symptoms that were quietly shrinking their world. One older patient couldn’t physically use vaginal estrogen cream and felt hopeless. I worked to get her a vaginal ring covered by Medicare, and she came to see me every three months so I could place it for her. It changed everything. She would tear up at her visits because she finally felt relief — and dignity. Moments like that remind me how much possibility there is when someone truly listens and problem-solves."
Whole-body, whole-woman care: "I believe perimenopause and menopause affect every system in a woman’s body. Too many women struggle for years because they don’t realize their symptoms are connected, or that they’re treatable. When a patient sits down with me, education comes first. I want her to understand that what she’s experiencing is common and manageable. Together, we work through her limitations and find what truly fits her life. At Midi, the virtual model makes that access even easier. Whether a woman is working or can’t leave home, she can still reach out, get answers, and receive thoughtful, individualized care. My goal is simple: help her feel better, informed, and back in control of her life."
