A lifelong focus on women’s health: "I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing 2017 and my Master of Science in Nursing in Women’s Health in 2020. Since becoming a women’s health nurse practitioner, I’ve worked in OB/GYN and outpatient settings, caring for women from adolescence through later life. My experience includes well-woman care, contraception, breast and cervical cancer screening, nutrition, weight management, perimenopause, and menopause."
A personal why: "My grandmother’s experience with menopause profoundly shaped my purpose. I saw how easily women’s symptoms can be dismissed as simply getting older or something they’re expected to tolerate. That experience inspired me to help change the way women experience healthcare and to make sure they feel heard and taken seriously."
Listening can change everything: "I once cared for a woman whose perimenopausal symptoms had been dismissed by several providers because her labs were normal. After we talked through her symptoms and goals, we developed a treatment plan together. At her follow-up, she told me she felt like herself again—she was functioning better at work, reconnecting with her marriage, and enjoying the things she loved. That reminded me how powerful it can be when a woman finally feels heard."
The woman stays in the driver’s seat: "My care is patient-centered, evidence-based, and rooted in advocacy. I bring the research, expertise, and guidance, but the woman remains in the driver’s seat. My goal is for every patient to feel heard, understood, educated, and empowered to make decisions about her own health."
