A career of care: “I’ve been a Nurse Practitioner since 2014, and before that, I spent 6 years as a hospital nurse. I’m certified in family practice and have worked in everything from urgent care to the ER. For the past three years, I’ve specialized in bone health, working as a fracture liaison specialist. I’m also certified in bone health, which has really allowed me to lean into my passion for helping women thrive in the second half of life.”
Why this work matters: “I’ve always known I’d be in medicine—my whole family is full of doctors and nurses—but it’s stories like one of my postmenopausal patients with paralysis that keep me going. She’d been turned away by other providers, but we pushed through insurance barriers and created a tailored plan that’s actually helping her. Seeing her improve just reaffirms that I’m where I’m meant to be.”
It’s all connected: “I approach care from an osteopathic perspective—everything in the body is connected, and treating one part in isolation never works. To accomplish this, I believe in listening, educating, and making decisions with my patients, not for them. It’s time we talked more openly about their options and what feeling better really looks like.”
