A lifelong passion: “I always knew I wanted to work in health care. When I was in high school, I worked at a retail pharmacy, eventually moving up to pharmacy technician. After spending many years in labor and delivery, I began focusing on women at midlife in 2013. Now, I am triple certified as a Certified Nurse Midwife, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, and Family Nurse Practitioner.”An experience that shaped my care approach: “I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2019 after likely having it for 20 years. Unfortunately, it went unnoticed and untreated due to our fast-paced healthcare system. As a practitioner, I prioritize quality of care over quantity of patients. I believe in listening carefully to my patients to identify the root cause of their issues and provide comprehensive treatment.”Empathy in action: “I pride myself on compassionate listening. It’s such a privilege to be told intimate details that patients may not have felt comfortable talking to anyone else about. Attentive care is especially crucial for women at midlife, whose symptoms are often invalidated by other providers.”
