Caring through every stage: "I’ve been working in healthcare since 2010 and became a nurse practitioner in 2016. Most of my career has been centered around women’s services, including mother and baby care, labor and delivery, women’s health, OB/GYN, and GYN oncology. I spent four years working in an OB/GYN office and five years caring for patients in a GYN oncology clinic. I joined Midi because of the way the company approaches women’s care and how deeply they care about patients as whole people."
When life changes overnight: "One experience that deeply shaped me was caring for a 38-year-old patient with ovarian cancer who needed surgery that immediately placed her into menopause. We saved her life, but her life also changed completely overnight. That experience stayed with me and reinforced how misunderstood women in midlife can be. Women are expected to do everything for everyone else, often without feeling heard or supported themselves."
Be yourself: "My philosophy is simple: be yourself. We are here for you. I want every patient to leave a visit feeling heard, cared for, and able to trust that I will always do my best for them. I approach treatment planning by putting myself in my patient’s place and caring for them the same way I would want to be cared for."
Joy outside of medicine: "Outside of work, I’m a mom of three teenagers who loves dancing, music, reading, and gardening. I truly love what I do, and I bring that joy and compassion into every patient conversation."
