A lifelong path in patient care: "I began my nursing career in 1991 and became a nurse practitioner in 2023. Over the years, I’ve worked in the emergency department, intensive care unit, pediatric care, same-day surgery, urgent care, home health, and hospice. Each setting has shaped how I care for patients and reinforced the importance of listening closely and seeing the whole person behind the symptoms."
When hormone care became personal: "Hormone health became deeply personal for me after I had a total hysterectomy in 2008. I was fortunate to find a highly skilled practitioner who guided me through bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. That experience showed me how powerful the right support can be, and how many women struggle to find providers who truly hear them or take their symptoms seriously."
Answering the call to support women: "That experience stayed with me for years. I decided that if I returned to school, I would focus my work on hormone health and helping women who have felt unheard or unsupported. I wanted to be the kind of provider who listens carefully and helps women understand what their bodies are going through."
Care built around the individual: "My greatest joy is partnering with patients to create an individualized plan that supports their wellness journey and ultimately helps optimize their health. Every woman’s experience is different, and I believe care should reflect that. By listening first and tailoring treatment thoughtfully, including hormone therapy when appropriate, I help women feel better, regain balance, and move forward with confidence."
