Moriah Kerr, APRN, FNP-BC, Midi Clinician

An overlooked life stage: “Education is what led me to healthcare. Originally in school to become a paramedic, I found my passion in nursing, teaching patients about their bodies. My journey began with three years in the ICU, followed by a rewarding decade as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Working in family practice, I had lots of women come in experiencing menopausal and hormonal changes, feeling unheard or dismissed. Recognizing a pressing need in this area, I joined Midi.”Listening changes everthing: “Late one day about five years ago, I noticed a woman with a high depression score in her chart. Instead of rushing through, I sat down and asked her if she wanted to talk. She broke down, and said that no one had taken the time to listen. Every time I see a patient, I am reminded of this encounter. Sometimes, just being there can make all the difference.”Partnership with patients: “I’m most passionate about building strong, trusting relationships and giving my patients the autonomy to make informed decisions about their health. I love educating them in an understandable way, ensuring we work together as a team to find the best course of care.”
