Frequently asked questions

Is Midi right for me?

Midi clinicians provide empathetic, evidence-based care for: some text

  • Those in perimenopause or menopause
  • Those with premature menopause or primary ovarian insufficiency
  • Cancer survivors and those at-risk who are in menopause
  • Those experiencing surgically-induced menopause due to a hysterectomy or oophorectomy

How does Midi communicate with my other doctors?

Midi provides you with a personalized Care Plan that summarizes your visit, recommended treatments, and advice. This can be shared with any other doctors you see now or in the future.

How does Midi handle in-person care, such as labs, Pap tests, and mammograms?

Your Midi clinician will work with you to make sure you’re up to date on your in-person care, including Paps and mammograms. If you need testing, we’ll direct you to a facility that’s convenient for you. Just let us know in your health questionnaire if there’s a specific facility you’d like us to use.‍

Once your tests are completed, your clinician will review your results and make changes to your Care Plan if needed. We will reach out to you if it’s necessary to talk through your results in a follow-up visit.

Does Midi prescribe both hormonal and non-hormonal treatments?

Yes! Midi believes in individualized care, so we recommend treatments based on your symptoms, your unique medical history, and your personal approach to health. Not every woman should take hormone replacement therapy (HRT), or wants to, so we draw from the full range of alternative solutions. We may recommend non-hormonal medications, supplements and botanicals, and/or wellness therapies (eg, acupuncture, cognitive behavior therapy, yoga), instead of HRT or alongside it. We also coach you on simple but effective lifestyle shifts around sleep, mindfulness, nutrition, and exercise. Finally, we consider a variety of safe and effective non-hormonal prescription medications which can bring relief without HRT.

Will my employer know if I use Midi Health?

No. Midi Health and our providers follow all healthcare privacy regulations and identifiable information is never shared with your employer.

If I have questions, who can I contact?
